Context: Due to the overwhelming success of the 1977 Champagne Editions sales campaign VWoA promoted a new range including the Rabbit, Scirocco, Dasher and Bus for 1978. Approximately 1100 produced – two per Dealer. During the 1978 model year VWoA published a brochure (dated 3/78) for the Champagne II Editions which included two typ.153s.
